The Prince of Wales announces two Ambassadors for 2008

The Prince of Wales announced, via video message, that his 2008 Ambassadors were Chris Hyman, Chief Executive, Serco Group and Stanley Fink, Non-executive Deputy Chairman, Man Group.

The Prince's Ambassador Award is for individuals whose leadership and commitment to responsible business has resulted in changes and improvements inside their own company and who have also inspired other organisations to take action.

The Prince of Wales said: "I am full of admiration for those leaders who are using their skills, their ingenuity and their resources to make a difference for the better, and tonight is my opportunity to recognize their outstanding contribution.  I hope they will inspire others to follow in their footsteps so that, together, we can achieve even greater impact as a result of their example, leadership and enthusiasm. It is perhaps a reflection of the quality of today’s leaders  that this year I will be making two exceptional individuals my National Ambassadors for 2008."

The Prince of Wales said of Chris Hyman: "He has developed his own company into an exemplar of what it means to be a responsible business and works tirelessly to inspire both his own and other companies. "

On announcing Stanley Fink as he other Ambassador The Prince of Wales said: "He led his company to be one of the most effective at tackling climate change, becoming the first carbon neutral hedge fund in 2006 and responding with determined action to my May Day call for all companies to reduce their carbon footprint. "
