The Prince's Seeing is Believing Programme gives senior business leaders the opportunity to experience social issues taking place in the communities that their businesses operate in. It also gives them an opportunity to explore how business can play a role in improving these problems. Each event involves a morning's visit to a number of community projects, voluntary groups, or schools and is hosted by a senior business leader on behalf of HRH The Prince of Wales.
Each visit has its own focus area and objective, such as underachievement in schools, homelessness, social exclusion, employability, crime, and regeneration, in both urban and rural disadvantaged communities.

Northern Bank
Key business leaders attended a Seeing is Believing visit which focused on education and youth provision. The visit was led by Northern Bank and involved delegates visiting a number of schools in the Belfast area, namely Strand Primary School, St Vincent’s and Blythefield Primary School, to demonstrate the role of business and how it can positively impact on education provision in Northern Ireland.
The Seeing is Believing visit was chaired by Northern Bank Regional General Managers (RGM) Colin Dundas, RGM Belfast and Stephen Bloomfield, RGM, North. Colin commented on the rationale for the event, “Many companies in the Belfast area are committed to supporting local schools and the community, but are unsure how best to go about this. Today’s visit has given all interested employers the opportunity to gain an insight into areas of need in our local schools. This Seeing is Believing has also been crucial to ensure that businesses understand how they can work most effectively in partnership with education for maximum impact.”
