Liverpool Football Club - Healthy Living and Positive Lifestyle Change
Lancaster University Management School North West Award for Impact through Collaborative Leadership
Liverpool Football Club is working in collaboration with Liverpool City Council and other partner agencies to create a range of programmes to emphasise healthy living and achieve long-term lifestyle change in one of the poorest areas of the UK. The programme was given a significant boost with £380k from European funding.
Impact
- Over 3000 Health Checks for adults have been completed.
- Three public events have been held focussing on health issues for the over 55s.
- 250 women attended courses on self-esteem, parenting and healthy living and school and young people projects.
- Four Action for Health Touchscreen Information Kiosks are now sited in community venues.
