North West
The North West of England region comprises five vibrant and diverse counties: Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside. The key metropolitan centres are Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Lancaster and Carlisle.
The region is home to 6.7 million people, making it the
largest outside of London and the South East. Despite being a largely
rural area, the majority of the population live in urban centres;
primarily Greater Manchester and Merseyside. Business in the Community
is working with businesses and volunteers across the region to
facilitate the development of opportunities for people in our region.
