Paul Lynes joined Standard Life Healthcare in 2003, following several years in PR and public affairs consultancy and a year spent travelling the world.
He was instrumental in the company’s involvement in the health and wellbeing agenda and in Standard Life becoming a founding member of Business in the Community’s (BITC) Health Leadership Team. Paul’s role involved a great deal of lobbying with government to persuade them that the workplace should be a vital part of their strategy to tackle the nation's health problems. He worked with BITC to help the government with its first health and work conference at which this strategy was launched.
Subsequently Paul has been working closely with Business in the Community and the government to bring together all the different health and employer bodies to work on a unified campaign to encourage more businesses to do more to help employees improve their health.
Paul lives in Surrey with his wife and two children.
